We now have a calendar!

The School for Nonviolence is pleased to announce the addition of a calendar gadget to its blog. The calendar is located at the bottom of the main blog page. This location allows for a more robust calendar experience (that is, it's wide enough to show long event titles).

If you know of any nonviolence- and/or peace-related events happening in the Borderland region (e.g., Cd. Juarez, Las Cruces, El Paso), we would love to post them on our calendar. Please use the comments function below to give us the details.

Thank you!

Name change (subtle, but important)

During the Saturday, September 12, 2008 SNV Core Group meeting one of the items considered was a name change. After thoughtful discussion, it was decided that School FOR Nonviolence was more descriptive of our intentions.

We are FOR nonviolent action in all its manifestations. We are FOR the promotion of nonviolence. We are FOR a nonviolent community, locally and globally.

Welcome to the School for Nonviolence!
