Pax Christi Film Series - October 11 double-feature
WHAT: Pax Christi Film Series presents “Viva La Causa,” a documentary about Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, and "The Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil."
WHEN: 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 11.
WHERE: Mother Teresa Center, 2400 East Yandell Drive (between Piedras and Cotton streets)

“Viva La Causa” is a short documentary about Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta. The other film, “The Power of Community," tells the story of the Cuban people's hardship, ingenuity, and triumph over sudden adversity when their country lost access to Soviet oil in the early 1990s.
The Pax Christi Film Series show films monthly on peace and justice themes. Films scheduled for the remainder of 2009 are “Poison Dust,” on the dangers of depleted uranium (November 8); and “Posada: A Night to Cross All Borders” (December 13).
